Let's take a look at the best skate shops NYC has to offer!

Substance Skatepark

First up is our very own Substance Skatepark a 15,000 Sq ft Indoor skatepark with a small shop in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Substance offers a blend of experiences including 24/7 key memberships, day passes, skateboarding camp, lessons, afterschool and all kinds of events including birthday parties for the "groms". The skate shop at Substance has a small selection of local up and coming brands, and brands you already love. Best of all 1% of all sales at substance goes to forest conservation.

KCDC Skate Shop

The Williamsburg Brooklyn OG's!  We miss lurking at the old KCDC mini ramp on damp cold days. KCDC has a special place in our heart as they have been our tried and true local shop for many years. If I need gear this is where I go. KCDC supports the grass roots NYC skateboarding community. They have consistently stocked the goods we all need to shred so big thanks to Amy for the years of hard work for skateboarding. Supreme New York

I Bought my first board from Supreme in the early days a nice Powell with some independents when they had the good bushings. Walking in felt like a parallel universe with pros hanging out changing wheels and watching now classic skate videos. Supreme has become an iconic brand that has remained relevant for decades leading the way in street wear. Despite all that they still sell perfectly good wood so still a viable spot to go get your boards, clothing and sneakers.

This shop is new! So get on the uptown train and show this shop some love. Do us a solid and follow them on instagram and let's watch them grow. UWS offers a nice selection of core skateboarding goods with long hours in a skateboard desert. I think there used to be a Blades Board and Skate up that way RIP. Some fun skate spots nearby so take the trip and if you live uptown you got a new local shop so give em all your extra cash and keep this shop rolling.
